Apple Glass Smart Glasses With AI Technology Ready To Release In 2026

JAKARTA Long-formed smart glasses from Apple, known as Apple Glass, are reported to be launching into the market by the end of 2026. This is part of Apple's great strategy in integrating artificial intelligence (AI) into its products.

Citing a report from Bloomberg, an Apple employee said that the company is currently targeting the initial launch of this wearable product before 2027. However, the initial version of Apple Glass will not be present with the full augmented reality (AR) feature as it has been envisioned so far.

On the other hand, these smart glasses will resemble Ray-Ban Meta Smart Glasses, but with design and fabrication quality called more superior'.

Apple is reportedly increasing its production efforts, including making large prototypes by the end of 2025 for testing purposes before mass production.

This early version of Apple Glass is expected to be equipped with a camera and microphone, allowing Apple's AI system to "look" the user's environment and answer various queries. Other features include the ability to record videos, take photos, answer phone calls, play music, and help navigation.

Siri's digital assistant will also be an important part of this device, with a more sophisticated version in line with Apple's AI development. Apple is also developing a new, power-efficient and lightweight chip, in order to maintain the comfort and portfolio of these glasses.

Apple Glass is also called the predecessor of the full AR-based version which is still in the development stage, and is Apple's first step in expanding the list of wearable AI-powered devices in the future.
