Inspection Of Beauty Clinics In Melawai, Jakarta Manpower Office: 4 Ex-Detained Employee Certificates Have Been Returned

JAKARTA - The Jakarta Province Transmigration and Energy Manpower Office (Disnakertransgi) conducted a surprise inspection (sidak) at the Click House Melawai Beauty Clinic, following complaints from the public regarding the detention of workers' diplomas at the place of business. The complaint was followed up with inspection activities carried out on Wednesday, May 21.

Head of the Transmigration and Energy Manpower Office, Syaripudin, said a former beauty clinic worker Click House Melawai reported on the detention of diplomas and requests for a sum of money to return the diploma to the Deputy Minister of Manpower of the Republic of Indonesia via a live broadcast on the TikTok platform on Tuesday, May 20. Then, the DKI Jakarta Provincial Manpower, Transmigration and Energy Office received attention from the Deputy Minister of Manpower of the Republic of Indonesia on Wednesday, May 21.

Furthermore, the Head of Manpower Supervision and the Manpower Supervisory Team from the Manpower Supervision Section of the Manpower, Transmigration and Energy Office of the South Jakarta Administrative City of Administrative Affairs were assigned to accompany the Deputy Minister of Manpower and his staff in carrying out a surprise inspection at the Click House Melawai Beauty Clinic located at Jalan Melawai Raya Number 27 G, South Jakarta, regarding the alleged detention of the worker's diploma.

"The inspection activity was received by the management of the company represented by the Human Resources Section (HR)," said Syaripudin in his statement, Saturday, May 24.

In this activity, continued Syaripudin, the Deputy Minister of Manpower of the Republic of Indonesia together with the Head of Manpower Supervision provided guidance to clinical management to immediately return the certificates of workers without collecting any fees.

According to Syaripudin, the management expressed its willingness to return the diploma to workers, both those who are still actively working and those who have resigned, without asking for a replacement fee.

"During the inspection, the diploma of four workers who had resigned was successfully handed over directly to the person concerned," said Syaripudin.

"For diplomas that have not been submitted because the owner has not been present, the management said that the collection can be done the next day," he continued.

Syaripudin said the process of monitoring and supervising the return of diplomas to beauty clinic workers Click House Melawai would be carried out by the Manpower Supervisor of the South Jakarta City Administration of Manpower, Transmigration and Energy Sub-dept.

Previously, DKI Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung asked all companies and business actors in Jakarta not to detain their employees. Pramono instructed those who still detained employee diplomas to be returned.
