This Is A List Of 63 Unemployed Oil And Gas Wells To Be Tended Until 2026

JAKARTA - The government has prepared at least 63 Oil and Gas Working Areas (WK Migas) that will be offered to business actors from 2025 to 2026. The 63 oil and gas WK candidates are being prepared by the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM).

Head of the Geological Agency Survey Center of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, Edy Slameto, said that more than 60 working areas are ready to be offered in the 2025 to 2026 RPBF.

"A total of 16 working areas will be offered through direct offers and 4 work areas will be offered through regular tenders by 2025," he said, quoted on Saturday, May 24.

In 2026, he said, it is expected to become a massive development milestone with a total of 43 working areas to be offered, consisting of 23 blocks through direct bids and 20 blocks through regular tenders.

In addition, 24 block candidates will be prepared for 2027 to 2025. In total, 87 work areas are planned to be offered.

"So, more than 60 work areas are assigned to us," said Edy.

Nanang Abdul Manaf, Head of the Task Force for the Acceleration of Increasing Oil/Lifting and Natural Gas, said that when the oil and gas block was ready to be explored, the big challenge was non-technical.

"More than 60 percent of the problems are mostly non-technical problems. Licensing, social problems, then land creation, overlaps with other sectors," said Nanang.
