JAKARTA - The Deputy Attorney General for Intelligence at the Indonesian Attorney General's Office, Reda Manthovani, received the Grand Master Taekwondo (The Honorary 6th Dan) Honorary Title from Kukkiwon, Taekwondo World Headquarters.
The organization from the Seoul Gangnam-gu District was founded by the South Korean government since 1972 as Taekwondo's development center including issuing ratings, black belt promotions (Dan), and Taekwondo certification.
The title of The Honorary 6th And, often called the Grand Master or Kudangja obtained by Reda Manthovani, was handed over directly by President Kukkiwon, Dr. Dongsup Lee, at a meaningful ceremony in South Korea, recently.
This award is a symbol of appreciation for Reda Manthovani's dedication and contribution in the development and promotion of taekwondo sports, especially for the disability community in Indonesia. This special moment was certainly greeted with joy by Reda.
"I am very happy to be able to visit today, to meet all of you. I received this award, so it is my motivation to develop Taekwondo in Indonesia," said Reda.
He expressed his gratitude to Kukkiwon for giving the opportunity to get the honorary title.
"Hopefully Taekwondo's spirit will continue to inspire and unite us all," he said.
Reda Manthovanani's journey in the taekwondo world is nothing new.
He is known as a person who loves the sport of martial arts from Korea very much.
His interest in taekwondo has started since he was in high school.
His love then continued until Reda Mathovani made a brilliant achievement as the best athlete in an inter-graduate national championship in 1990.
Experience as an athlete certainly forms an in-depth understanding of the philosophy and spirit of taekwondo.
Not only being active as a practitioner, but Reda also shows her commitment to developing taekwondo at the grassroots level.
The title of Honorary Master from Kukkiwon is not only a personal pride for Reda Manthovani, but also a global recognition for her dedication and hard work in advancing taekwondo in Indonesia.
