Malaysian Navy Asks People Not To Speculate About Truck Slipping Injured 6 People

JAKARTA - The Royal Malaysian Navy (TLDM) asked the people of the neighboring country not to speculate about successive accidents involving TLDM operational trucks that left six people injured on Friday afternoon, May 23.

"The public is advised not to make any speculation that could disrupt the investigation," said the Commander of the Front row of the Operational Room of the Langkawi International Aerospace and Maritime Exhibition (LIMA) of the Kedah Fire and Rescue Service (JBPM), Senior Inspector of Fire Department I Ahmad Aminuddin Abd Rahim in his statement in Malaysia, Friday, May 23, quoted from Bernama.

He said TLDM had formed an investigative team to investigate the five-vehicle accidents that occurred in Langkawi.

The TLDM in its statement also stated that the truck loaded with 25 soldiers of the 5.25 Maritime Secretariat Demonstration was an accident because the vehicle lost control and slipped when it was about to return after Friday prayers at Al Ehsan Temonyong Mosque, Lengkawi.

Rahim said this incident involved one TLDM operational truck weighing three tons and four other cars. As many as 30 people in the five vehicles were affected.

However, the injured victims after the examination were identified as six people. Rahim emphasized that there were no casualties in this accident.

"Which five men and one woman were injured. One of the victims suffered a neck injury," said Rahim.
