Students In Mukomuko Drown In A Pool Near The PWI Office

MUKOMUKO - Elementary School student in Mukomuko Regency, Bengkulu Province, M Rama Febriansyah (12), who was missing in the back pool of the Indonesian Journalists Association (PWI) secretariat since Saturday, May 1 evening was found dead.

Based on monitoring in Mukomuko, Saturday night, this victim was found dead in a drowning position in a pond behind the PWI Secretariat and the Regional Library Office of Mukomuko Regency.

The victim, who is also a resident of Ujung Padang Village, Kota Subdistrict, Mukomuko, was reported missing based on information from Indra, the victim's brother who was looking for the victim because before iftar he could not return home.

After being traced, the victim's clothes were found at the edge of the pool. Then the family and the local community took the initiative to find victims in the pool.

"Just before sunset, we found the victim's clothes at the edge of the pool and then the community dived with makeshift equipment to look for the victim, about one and a half hours the victim was found dead", said Indra.

In addition, he stated, the family regretted the local National SAR Agency for arriving at the scene after the victim was found by the community.

Head of the Mukomuko District Disaster Management Agency, Syahrizal, said the victims who were lost in the pool were found dead around 19.00-20.00 WIB.
