Lecturer Of UIN Mataram Becomes A Decreased In Student Obscenity, Directly Thrown Into Detention
The West Nusa Tenggara Police have named a lecturer at the Mataram State Islamic University (UIN) with the initials W as a suspect in a case of alleged sexual harassment of a number of female students.
"So, from the results of the collection and confiscation of several documents related to the position in question at the university, today we are increasing the status of the reported person from the witness to suspect," said Head of the Sub-Directorate for Youth, Children and Women (Renakta) of the NTB Police Criminal Investigation Unit AKBP Ni Made Pujawati in Mataram, Friday, 23 reported by ANTARA.
Investigators named W as a suspect under the suspicion of Article 6 letter c or letter a in conjunction with Article 15 paragraph (1) letter b or letter e of the Republic of Indonesia Law Number 12 of 2022 concerning the Crime of Sexual Violence.
Investigators immediately detained W in the Detention Room of the Directorate of Detention and Evidence of the NTB Police.
"After an increase in the status of a suspect, we conducted an examination as a suspect and made a forced effort in the form of detention of the person concerned. He was detained at the NTB Police detention center," he said.

The NTB Regional Police carried out law enforcement in this case, based on the victim's report from among female students. In this case, five victims and two witnesses were included in the completeness of suspect W's file.
In addition to pocketing the testimony of victims and witnesses, the police also obtained evidence from the results of the investigation of the crime scene in the Mataram UIN campus.
