Good News Comes From Central Sulawesi, A Total Of 11,214 COVID-19 Patients Recovered

JAKARTA - Spokesperson for the Center for Data and Information for COVID-19, Central Sulawesi Province, Moh. Haris Kariming said that the number of recovered COVID-19 patients had increased to 11,214.

"Today 25 COVID-19 patients are declared cured so that the cumulative total of COVID-19 patients who recover in Central Sulawesi is 11,214", he said in Palu City, as reported by Antara, Sunday, April 2.

He explained that the 25 people were in several areas, including 18 people in Tojo Una-Una Regency and seven in Buol.

Those who have recovered, he continued, have been allowed to return home, but must implement health protocols to prevent the transmission and spread of COVID-19 so that they do not re-exposure.

"Meanwhile 20 people were confirmed positive for COVID-19 today, including five people in Palu City, six people in Poso Regency, four people in Buol, two people in Morowali and Tojo Una-Una, one person in North Morowali", he said.

The cumulative total number of confirmed COVID-19 patients to date is 12,302 people.

In addition, two COVID-19 patients each one person in Tojo Una-Una and Morowali were declared dead today, bringing the total number of COVID-19 patients who have died to date totaling 334 people.

"A total of 761 COVID-19 patients are currently undergoing quarantine independently and at the local government-owned health service center. Let's pray that all of them can recover", he explained.

He asked the public to support the supervisory team of district and city health offices in Central Sulawesi who carried out tracing of people who had contact with positive COVID-19 patients.

In addition, residents must implement health protocols to prevent the transmission and spread of COVID-19.

"Prevention is by wearing masks, washing hands, and keeping your distance and away from crowds. These steps are very important to break the chain of spread and transmission of COVID-19 in Central Sulawesi", he said.
