Sade Tourism Village Becomes A Clean And Sustainable Tourism Pioneer
JAKARTA - Sade Tourism Village in Rambitan Village, Pujut District, Central Lombok Regency, West Nusa Tenggara Province, was appointed as one of the pilot models in the development of the Eco Village concept.
This initiative is part of an effort to support the Clean Tourism Movement (GWB) launched by the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy of the Republic of Indonesia.
Deputy Minister of Tourism, Ni Luh Puspa, at the launch of the Eco Village program in Sade Village, said that this step aims to improve the quality of tourist destinations and strengthen their attractiveness in the eyes of tourists. According to him, cleanliness is a basic element that must be a priority in tourism development.
If the tourist attractions are clean, tourists will feel comfortable and comfortable. That's the beginning of a quality destination, "he said, as quoted by ANTARA.
He also emphasized the importance of collective awareness. If the home environment is clean and neatly arranged, guests or visitors will appreciate it more and are reluctant to litter. This can be applied in tourist areas as the basic principle of sustainable development.

This program is not only intended to beautify the appearance of destinations, but also to build a sustainable tourism system through cross-sectoral cooperation. The Ministry of Tourism cooperates with local governments, local communities, and the private sector in running this program.
"Collaboration is the key to success. Without the support of all parties, this effort will not run optimally," explained the Deputy Minister.
The Deputy Regent of Central Lombok, HM Nursiah, stated that waste management at tourist sites has become the main commitment of the local government. Through guidance to tourism awareness groups, they try to keep the environment clean and comfortable for tourists.
He also hopes that programs from the center can continue to touch tourist villages through continuous training and assistance. If there is a program from the ministry, we are ready to support it to improve people's welfare," he said.
On the other hand, support from the private sector also strengthens the implementation of this program. Sudarmadi Widodo, Director of Human Capital and Corporate Communication Otsuka, said that his party plays a role as a partner of the Ministry in encouraging the Clean Tourism Movement.
"Sade Tourism Village has become an icon of tourism. So sustainability and cleanliness must be maintained," he said.
He added that this program also encourages changes in people's behavior, especially in terms of waste management. The public is advised to start sorting waste before being disposed of so as not to accumulate in the Final Disposal Site (TPA).
