Survey: Superior Ganjar From Prabowo And Ridwan Kamil, Anies Baswedan On The Middle Board

JAKARTA - The New Indonesia Research and Consulting Survey released the results of a survey that put the electability of the Governor of Central Java, Ganjar Pranowo, surpassing Prabowo Subianto and Ridwan Kamil.

"Ganjar is getting ahead as the strongest presidential candidate, but Prabowo and Ridwan Kamil are catching up behind with significant support," said Executive Director of New Indonesia Research & Consulting Andreas Nuryono as quoted by Antara, Saturday, May 1.

Ganjar's electability reached 20.3 percent, up from 18.4 percent in the February 2021 survey. "If it was withdrawn since June last year, Ganjar's electability continued to climb until it overtook Prabowo, who was previously superior," said Andreas.

Prabowo is firmly in second place with 17.8 percent electability, up from the February 2021 survey of 15.6 percent.

In June last year, Prabowo was still ahead before his decline, but is now moving back up.

In third place is West Java Governor Ridwan Kamil with an electability of 15.5 percent, up from the February 2021 survey of 13.1 percent. Like Ganjar, RK's electability has continued to increase since the survey in June last year.

"Ganjar, Prabowo, and RK are the three most powerful figures to be promoted as presidential candidates, far leaving other figures. If there are two or three pairs of candidates, the three figures are expected to be nominated," said Andreas.

In the middle board position there are Sandiaga Uno (5.7 percent), Anies Baswedan (5.5 percent), Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (4.3 percent), Erick Thohir (4.1 percent), and Tri Rismaharini (3.8 percent). ).

According to Andreas, among these names have the opportunity to become a vice presidential candidate.

At the bottom of the board there are Khofifah Indar Parawansa (2.5 percent), Giring Ganesha (2.3 percent), Mahfud MD (1.1 percent), and Puan Maharani (1.0). Other names are still under 1 percent, and do not know / do not answer 13.3 percent.

The New Indonesia Research & Consulting survey was conducted on 15-22 April 2021, with telephone calls to 1,200 respondents randomly selected from the previous survey since 2019. Margin of error ± 2.89 percent, 95 percent confidence level.
