Too Long, The Reason Bahlil Cancels Investment With LG In The EV Battery Sector

JAKARTA - Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Bahlil Lahadalia denied that LG (a Korean company) canceled its investment in the electric car battery (EV) sector. To reporters at the Merdeka Palace Complex, Jakarta, Thursday, May 22, Bahlil explained that his party, who is the Head of the Downstream and Energy Security Task Force, canceled the investment.

According to Bahlil, the investment made with LG is considered to have been going on for too long. Currently, as a substitute for LG, Bahlil announced that the company from China, Huayou, will invest in EV batteries. In addition to this clarification, Bahlil Lahadia also conveyed the results of a limited meeting to accelerate downstreaming with President Prabowo Subianto.
