Three Riot Demonstrators At DKI City Hall Positive For Marijuana
Polda Metro Jaya said that three of the 93 people arrested in a riot at the DKI Jakarta City Hall on Wednesday (21/5) tested positive for marijuana.
"We did a urine test on 93 people who were arrested. From the results of the urine test, three of them were positive for containing THC or Tetrahydrocannabinol which was found in the cannabis or marijuana plant," said Head of Public Relations of Polda Metro Jaya Kombes Ade Ary Syam Indradi as reported by ANTARA, Thursday, May 22.
The three people have been handed over to the Directorate of Drug Investigation of the Metro Jaya Police for further investigation.
"Meanwhile, 90 other people tested negative during a urine test," he said.
When confirmed whether the 93 people had been returned to their respective homes, Ade Ary explained that they were still being investigated.
"Until now, further investigation is still being carried out regarding its role and juxtaposed with the evidence in the Ditreskrimum, in this case, the State Security Sub-Directorate (Kamneg)," said Ade Ary.
Not only that, but officers also confiscated 43 vehicles related to the incident.
"If you want to take it, please bring proof of a vehicle such as STNK, BPKB and other evidence related to the ownership of the vehicle," he said.
The trigger for the violent demonstration at DKI Jakarta City Hall on Wednesday (21/5) was due to mass efforts that wanted to force him into the building.
"At around 16.38 WIB, the masses forced their way into the City Hall office through the exit, even though the location of the demonstration was prepared at the entrance," he said.

Ade Ary explained that the mass of action brought to Polda Metro Jaya was 93 people and is still being investigated.
Previously, a video circulated on X's social media account, @salam4jari showing a demonstration from a number of students which took place at DKI Jakarta City Hall on Wednesday (21/5).
"Students are surrounded by police officers and there has been a withdrawal to the Student President and Student Vice President forcibly pulled by the authorities to get into the detention car," the account wrote.
