For The Totality Of The Role, Seroja Hafiedz Learns To Smoke Again In Tenung Film

JAKARTA - Actress Seroja Hafiedz shows full dedication in exploring her latest role as the character of Linda's mother in the film Tenung.

Even though he had stopped smoking and switched to vape, for the sake of character needs in the film, Seroja admitted that he had to learn to smoke again so that he could look convincing on the big screen.

"From the beginning, Linda's mother was a smoker. But because I didn't smoke and moved to vape, it became quite cool," said Seroja Hafiedz in the Setiabudi area, South Jakarta, Thursday, May 22.

He realized that film is an art form that represents reality, so he tries to be as authentic as possible in bringing his character.

"But for this film, it's art and the film is based on reality, so learning to smoke again," he continued.

Unmitigated, Seroja even chose to use real tobacco in smoking scenes, instead of using cigarettes with an additional taste or a certain aroma.

"Lumayan (so smoke a lot). And it's more like using real tobacco. So, I've asked to use real tobacco, because don't give it sauce, don't give it anything," said Seroja Hafiedz.

According to him, the selection of real tobacco is also related to the soul of Linda's mother's character, which is described as a bitter and harsh figure in her life.

"Because in the character, his mother is bitter, so if it's bitter to feel the pain, I don't think it's a sweet flavour," he concluded.

The Tenung film itself will start airing on June 5. Apart from Seroja Hafiedz, Tenung will also feature Aisyah Aqila, Emir Mahira, Sonia Alyssa, to Anya Zen.
