Investigated By The KPK, Road Project Corruption At The Mempawah Public Works Service Is Suspected Of Losing The State Rp40 Billion

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) is investigating allegations of corruption in the road improvement project by the Mempawah District Public Works (PU) Office. This case is said to have cost the state finances up to tens of billions of rupiah.

"When it goes up to investigation (from the investigation, ed), it is estimated that the state losses in this case will reach approximately Rp. 40 billion," said KPK spokesman Budi Prasetyo to reporters in a written statement, Thursday, May 22.

Recently, the KPK is focusing on summoning witnesses to complete the files of three suspects. Among them are Lilik Safrita Yosmaniar, who is a private party and Adhika Cipta Wijaya who is a planning consultant staff.

Lilik and Adhika, said Budi, were questioned at the KPK's Merah Putih building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta on Thursday, May 22. From the examination, they were investigated regarding the project process which ended up being the bancakan.

"Witnesses were present, investigators studied from the auction process to the implementation of the work for the project," he said.

As for this case, the KPK has named three suspects. From the information collected, they are Abdurahman as a civil servant; Lutfi Kaharuddin who is an entrepreneur or President Director of PT Aditama Borneo Prima; and Idy Safriadi as a civil servant of Mempawah Regency.

However, the legal status of the three of them has not yet been officially announced by the KPK. This is because investigators are still conducting further investigations.

As previously reported, the KPK searched a number of locations to look for evidence of alleged corruption in West Kalimantan Province on Sunday, April 27. The exact position is reported in Mempawah Regency.

The forced efforts were also carried out in the Sanggau and Pontianak areas with a total of 16 locations. Investigators then found electronic evidence and a number of documents related to alleged corruption at the Mempawah District Public Works (PU) Office.

Later, the KPK said that this search was to find evidence of alleged corruption which was investigated using a new investigation letter (sprindik). It is suspected that there were allegations related to the increase in Sekabuk-Sei Sederam Road and the work of improving the Jalan Sekit Rama-Sei Semeram at the Public Works Office of Mempawah Regency for the 2015 Fiscal Year.
