JCB Collaborates With Noage International Targeting Indonesian Premium Segment
JAKARTA - The widespread domestic medical market has attracted the attention of JCB International Co., Ltd (JCB) and Noage International Inc (NI) along with their strategic partner PT Bank Danamon Indonesia Tbk (Danamon) to offer exclusive medical services to Japan.
The exclusive medical service titled JCB Exclusive Medical Tourism Program, to promote advanced medical tourism to Japan for the premium segment of Indonesia, which has been offered since 2023.
Through a memorandum of understanding signed by the three parties, Danamon Privilege Banking customers who hold the Danamon JCB Precious card, including the JCB Indonesia Ultimate card holder, will benefit from the special service of the JCB Exclusive Medical Tourism Program.
"Given Japan's popularity and the increasing demand for medical tourism abroad for Indonesians, we believe there is a possibility for us to take advantage of this opportunity and provide the Privilege program that introduces the benefits of Japanese medical tourism to Indonesians," said JCB International President & CEO Yoshiki Kaneko, in his statement, Thursday. Yoshiki added, to take advantage of this opportunity, JCB invited Danamon as one of its bank partners in Indonesia to provide premium health benefits to the Danamon JCB Precious Banking card holder along with other JCB Indonesia Ultimate cardholders.
As is known, medical tourism is growing among the people of the premium Indonesian segment, which travel abroad to access advanced medical services.
Currently, Singapore and Malaysia are popular destinations, while Japan faces challenges such as language barriers that limit access to medical services. Therefore, this service will provide support in English ranging from initial consultation to medical input, so customers can receive medical care on an ongoing basis.
The JCB Exclusive Medical Tourism Program offers medical tourism services for Indonesian premiums in Osaka, Japan. In August 2024, this program was expanded to Tokyo, to provide access to Indonesian customers for medical services in Japan.
The three-party partnership allows customers to choose between Tokyo Midtown Clinic (Roppongi) and Nilonbashi Muromachi Mitsui Tower Midtown Clinic, which is affiliated with NI in providing exclusive medical services. JCB Ultimate cardholders published in Indonesia will also provide free health check services at both facilities.
Jin Yoshida, Global Alliance Strategy Director Danamon said the partnership was really special because in Indonesia, Danamon is the only bank that issues a eligible JCB Precious credit card for this program.
This service is in line with Danamon Privilege's focus on improving premium health benefits. Therefore, he believes this partnership will benefit all parties, especially the Danamon JCB Precious Private Banking card holder.
