Sales Of Toyota Reaches 85 Thousand Units, Auto2000 Holds Key Role

JAKARTA - Based on data from the Association of Indonesian Automotive Industries (Gaikindo), Toyota still dominates the Indonesian automotive market for four months this year by producing sales of 85,032 units, an increase of 5.3 percent compared to last year's score.

This includes the proceeds from its sales in April 2025 by making 16,077 units, an increase of 5.8 percent compared to last year in the same period. However, last month's acquisition was still lower than March 2025 which decreased to 28.5 percent.

The score was also assisted by strong sales from Toyota dealer partners in Indonesia, including Auto2000.

Auto2000 Chief Executive, Anton Jimmi Suwandy said his party had a sizeable contribution to Toyota's car sales of up to 41 percent this year.

"Auto2000 in the past two years has always contributed around 40 percent and this year it has increased slightly by 41 percent," Anton said when answering media questions on the sidelines of the GR Garage Media Day event at Pantai Indah Kapuk 2, Jakarta, Thursday, May 22.

He also added that he was very confident that he could maintain this trend amidst economic challenges that were hitting the national automotive industry.

Anton also explained that the company pocketed the same retail sales as last year, although the details of the figures were not explained.

"So, in the midst of this tough situation, we are very grateful that Auto2000 can still maintain and even increase the contribution of data sales in Indonesia. What's more, if I look at the retail sales, actually our sales are still at a figure that is similar to last year," concluded Anton.
