TANGERANG - Inpex Corporation through its subsidiary, Inpex Masela LTD signed a cooperation agreement for the sale and purchase of gas through the Heads of Agreement (HOA) with PT PLN (Persero), PT Perusahaan Gas Negara Tbk (PGN) for LNG, and PT Pupuk Indonesia (Persero) for natural gas.

Not only HoA, Inpex also signed a non-binding Memorandum of Agreement related to the potential for long-term LNG sales and purchase cooperation from the LNG Eternal Project with PLN.

The signing of this agreement was witnessed directly by Indonesian President Prabowo Subuanto, Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) Bahlil Lahadalia and Head of SKK Migas Djoko Siswanto at the inauguration of The 49th Indonesia Petroleum Association Convention and Exhibition (IPA Convex) 2025 in Tangerang.

SKK Migas in its statement emphasized that this agreement places Inpex to further strengthen its presence in the Indonesian energy market. LNG and natural gas from the LNG Eternal Project are very important to support domestic energy needs while supporting a clean energy transition.

The LNG Eternal Project will also be the first LNG project in Indonesia to implement Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) since its initial production.

Just so you know, the LNG Eternal Project gets a plan to develop or plan of development (POD) at the end of 2023 with a projected production capacity of 9.5 million tons per year (MTPA) LNG, 150 million standard cubic feet per day (MMSCFD) of pipe gas and 35.000 barrels of condensate per day.

In a separate statement, the President Director of PGN, Arief S. Handoko, said that the supply of one of the largest LNG projects in Indonesia allows to encourage infrastructure development to bring natural gas to end users.

PGN will use the Masela Block LNG as a complement to natural gas supply to meet domestic needs. The gas supply from the Masela Block is expected to further strengthen PGN's commitment to continue providing natural gas for customers," explained Arief.
