Postecoglou Still Doesn't Know About Its Future At Tottenham: Que Sera Sera
JAKARTA - Tottenham Hotspur manager, Ange Postecoglou, confirmed that he was not aware of any gatherings discussing his future.
He instead responded coldly by saying the Sera Sera que ( whatever happens, happens) after ending Spurs' 17-year wait to win trophies.
Yah Johnson scored his only goal as Tottenham beat Manchester United 1-0 in the Europa League final on Thursday, May 22, 2025, early morning WIB, at San Mates to present their first trophy since the 2008 League Cup.
This is Spurs' first European award in 41 years and ensures Postecoglou fulfills its promise to always win many things in its second season after the experience of menukangi Celtic, Yokohama F. Marinos, Australia, and Brisbane Rour.
However, according to ESPN reports, Postecoglou faced a tough struggle to keep his job after Tottenham suffered 21 defeats in the Premier League and are in 17th place in the standings ahead of the last match on Sunday, May 25, 2025.

With a win over Manchester United, Spurs secure their place in next season's Champions League.
In addition, they also secured an unexpected profit estimated at around 100 million pounds.
However, Postecoglou's future is still not clear in Spurs. In fact, he did not know about the meeting with high-ranking officials in the next few days which will discuss the Australian coach's tenure.
"No meeting was planned. I haven't had any discussions yet. Nobody spoke to me about anything."
"Maybe they feel unnecessary or maybe they are waiting for this match. Look, all I know is I'm going back to the hotel room."
"I gathered with my family and friends, opened a bottle of whiskey, drank several glasses calmly, prepared for a big parade on Friday, May 23, 2025, playing Brighton on Sunday."
"It was a very important last home game. I want to end it strongly. Then, on Monday, May 26, 2025, I will go on vacation with my family because I deserve it. Que Sera Sera," said Postecoglou.
Postecoglou said he chose to prioritize winning the Europa League in early January 2025 after analyzing the condition of his injury-hit squad.
"It was really the hardest thing I've ever done, no doubt at all. I knew it before doing it".
"This club has some world-class coaches and outstanding world-class players. They've never had a night like this."
"I know what I'm dealing with. It's natural to say that this is really challenging because elsewhere I achieved success to this stage. I gained the trust and belief of everyone."
"It's different here. I understand, it's not criticism, it's just a club with its recent history."
"I don't think they can always rely on one person. For me, that's how it always works."
"People support my vision. However, at the end of January 2025, the end of the transfer window, I assess our situation."
"I made the decision right away that this is a trophy that we will fight for. Maybe it's against what others at the club at that time believed about what we should do."
"Once again, that's understandable, but I really believe we can win this," said Postecoglou.
Postecoglou reaffirmed its desire to continue working with Spurs. The 59-year-old still has a two-year-old contract remaining.
"I would be disappointed if I could not continue this path. I understand why it is difficult for a club like this to accept one person's vision."
"In fact, when I signed the contract, (Chairman) Daniel (Levy) that Spurs chased the winner, it didn't work, and now got Ange."
"Sobat, I am a winner. I have been a chain winner throughout my career."
"That's what I do more than anything. I know people are talking about my football which I'm very proud of."
"I know people ignore my achievements because it doesn't happen in this part of the world, but it's all obtained with hard work," said the coach again.
