With Regard To Nissan Micra EV, New Choice In Electric Hatchback Segment

JAKARTA - Nissan introduced all-new Micra EV as its newest electric vehicle to compete in the European Market B-Segment. The presence of this car also answers requests for compact EVs at a more friendly price.

The car is designed by combining advanced mobility elements with the typical Micra style that has demonstrated its existence for more than 40 years in the global automotive industry.

Nissan Design Europe Vice President Giovanny Araba said MIcra EV has a striking design but still shows the bold impression of being an urban vehicle.

"The exterior has a bold and cheerful look at first sight, but has a stand that makes it look sturdy on the road. We are also able to combine fun details into designs, which the owner will like," said Araba, quoted from Nissan's official website, Thursday, May 22.

This electric hatchback comes with 18-inch rimwear by providing three different design options, namely an "active" wheel cover, as well as an "iconic" and "sport" choice for the wheel pattern.

The interesting thing about this car is the design of a round and modern headlights. By unlocking the vehicle, the lights will perform a "welcome" flash whose choreography is short like blinking from left to right and then from right to left.

The same choreography will also be carried out when the user leaves his vehicle as a "separation" greeting.

The back has a simpler pattern of lighting, but it remains striking with circular elements that can captivate the eye.

Nissan Micra EV has 14 different color choices, with some of them being a two-tone option by combining a black or gray roof.

The interior part of the Micra EV is designed simpler but remains focused on a relieved space. The car also has an outline formed from Japan's most famous landmark, Mount Fuji, which is part of the storage space between front seats.

The dashboard is equipped with a 10.1-inch touch screen in the middle with a three-finger steering wheel. Seat coatings are also present more varied depending on the trim option according to the user's wishes.

Micra EV has a five-door configuration style with an interior capacity of 326 liters.

The safety and security system is also applied to the Micra EV with the presence of Nissan ProPilot as a standard in order to provide a sense of security to its users while on the highway.

Nissan provides two battery options, namely 40 kWh and 52 kWh, each of which has its own performance and advantages.

For the 40 kWh option, the Micra EV can run as far as 308 km in a single full disbursement armed with a 90 kW electric motor and 225 Nm torque.

Meanwhile, the choice of a 52 kWh battery has a further electric range of up to 408 km with a power drive of 110 kW and a maximum torque of 245 Nm.

In addition to having impressive performance, the Micra EV is also compatible with the DC 100 kW charging device so that the electrical energy can be filled from 15 to 80 percent in just 30 minutes.

This Hatchback also features Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) as the standard that gives owners the option of using the electric capacity on batteries for external electronics devices.

The Japanese manufacturer has yet to announce the price of the Micra EV, but it is certain that it will be sold in the European market by the end of this year.
