Promotor Calls Foo Fighters The First To Ask For Concerts In Jakarta

JAKARTA - Ravel Junardy, CEO of Ravel Entertainment as the promoter for the concert titled Foo Fighters: Live in Jakarta said that fans in Indonesia were lucky people, because Foo Fighters was the first to contact the promoter to hold a concert in Jakarta.

As is known, the concert itself will be held at Carnaval Ancol, North Jakarta on October 2.

Ravel said that his party was contacted by representatives of Foo Fighters via electronic mail or email, earlier this year, where Dave Grohl cs expressed his interest in returning to Indonesia after a decade of widowers.

"A month before the Green Day (February 25) concert, they contacted us via email. And why not, I think this will be something cool," said Ravel Junardy at a press conference in Kebayoran Baru, South Jakarta, Tuesday, May 20.

Without thinking, Ravel accepted an offer to facilitate the Foo Fighters concert in the country. He himself feels proud, considering the rare Seattle-based band visited the Asian continent. Moreover, Jakarta was chosen to open their tour this year.

"To come Foo Fighters is not as easy as other bands. On the one hand, he is very rarely to Asia. In 2018 they went to Singapore and Japan. Well, in 2025, Foo Fighters came to Indonesia first instead of Singapore," he said.

Meanwhile, tickets for the Foo Fighters concert in Jakarta will go on sale on Monday, May 26 at 15.00 WIB on the official website www.foojkt.com.

Ticket prices range from Rp1,788,555 to Rp2,888,555 (not including entertainment taxes and service costs).

Furthermore, regarding who the drummer will play for Foo Fighters after John Freese's release, Ravel said that the promoter already knew his successor, but was not authorized to announce.

"For the new drummer (Foo Fighters), I actually know, but I can't announce it. But I can assure you the new drummer is really cool," said Ravel.

In addition, Ravel feels fans around the world also hope that the announcement of Freese's replacement drummer comes from Foo Fighters' own statement.

"Yes, I already know, but I'm a Ravel, not Dave Grohl, so I can't go through them," he said.
