Aceh SIM Airport Officers Fail To Smuggle 5 Kg Of Methamphetamine Under Panties To Suitcases
BANDA ACEH - Avsec Bandara Sultan Iskandar Muda (SIM) Officer Blang Bintang Aceh Besar thwarted the smuggling of 5 kilograms of methamphetamine from three different cases, ranging from packages to Jakarta to Banjarmasin.
"The modus operandi is that the evidence of methamphetamine is stored in a suitcase, and there are also suspects who hide it in underwear," said Banda Aceh Deputy Chief of Police AKBP Henki Ismanto as reported by ANTARA, Wednesday, May 21.
AKBP Henki explained that the disclosure of three cases occurred at the Blang Bintang SIM airport at different times. First on Thursday (8/5) at the X-Ray examination site with the suspectMD (24) from Bireuen Regency.
From MD's hands, evidence was found weighing 2kg of crystal methamphetamine wrapped in eight plastic bags in his suitcase, with three boarding passes, namely Jakarta, Surabaya, and Banjarmasin.
The second case occurred on Monday (12/5) in the waiting room of SIM Airport with suspect AG (41) from Bogor, West Java Province. From the suspect's hands, 1kg of crystal methamphetamine was found to be brought to Jakarta.
On the same day, Monday (12/5), officers again secured the suspected 2kg of crystal methamphetamine carrier in the waiting room of SIM airport, the suspect with the initials RH (21) from Lhokseumawe City, the purpose of delivering narcotics to Jakarta.
"The total amount of evidence of methamphetamine from these three cases is 5 kg. Suspect MD hides methamphetamine in suitcases, while AG and RH in underwear," he said.

The suspect MD admitted that he had succeeded in carrying the illicit goods, first in November 2024 weighing 500 grams to Lombok. In this case, if successful, will receive a wage of Rp. 60 million per kilogram.
Meanwhile, the suspect AG deliberately came from Bogor to the Bireuen Regency area to take crystal methamphetamine from someone with the initials M who is now a DPO to be brought back to Jakarta via SIM airport.
"The suspect AG was promised a salary of Rp. 40 million if he managed to pass the goods to their destination. And this is the first time he has done it," he said.
Furthermore, the suspect RH, has also succeeded in bringing methamphetamine in February 2024, from Medan to West Sumatra. In this case, RH will get Rp120 million in wages if he manages to pass the two kg of crystal methamphetamine.
Banda Aceh Police have named three suspects on the wanted list (DPO). The three DPOs are MR from Juang City District, Bireuen as the plane ticket provider to the suspect MD.
Then the DPO with the initials M from Samalanga District, Bireuen, concerned gave methamphetamine to suspect AG. As well as a DPO with the initials E from Lhokseumawe City, handed over the plane ticket to suspect RH.
"In this case, we have determined three DPOs, and the team has been working since a few days ago. As for the suspects, the three of them only act as couriers," said AKBP Henki Ismanto.
