Cool! Amazon Drones Can Now Interdevice From Apple And Samsung
JAKARTA Amazon, a popular e-commerce in the US, is offering fast delivery of Apple and Samsung products. The company was able to deliver packages within 60 minutes thanks to drones.
This is a technology Amazon has developed in recent years. Called Amazon Prime Air, the delivery service available only in some areas initially supported some types of products.
However, customers can now choose more than 60,000 types of products that meet the requirements. Some of the newly added products include gaggdets from Apple such as the iPhone, AirPods, and AirTags.
This service also supports the delivery of Samsung products such as Galaxy phones and tablets as well as a door bell called Ring. The addition of this type of product was only revealed by Amazon on Tuesday, May 20 through its official website.
"We (have) accepted FAA approval to deliver several new categories of items, including devices such as Apple iPhones, Samsung Galaxy phones, Apple AirTags, Apple AirPods, ring door rings," explains Amazon.

The whole process can take less than 60 minutes, depending on the delivery distance. To use this service, users only need to select the item they want to buy, then select the drone delivery while on the payment page.
After that, the user must enter the right delivery location and details. Upon arrival at the user's home, the drone will descend slowly while ensuring the area is safe. Drones won't even drop off if there are pets, cars, or people below them.
"A sophisticated perception system (on drones) can detect and navigate obstacles that may not be visible in satellite images or that may enter the drone area," the company said.
