Bribery Of Ex-Walkot Semarang's Husband Claims Not Yet Deposited Rp1.75 Billion

JAKARTA - President Director (Managing Director) of PT Deka Sari Perkasa (DSP) Rachmat Utama Djangkar admitted that he had not had time to hand over Rp1.75 billion which was referred to as a 10 percent fee from the basic school table and seat procurement project (SD) in Semarang City to the husband of the former Mayor (Walkot) Semarang Arwin Basri.

Rachmat, who is a defendant in the alleged bribery case against former Semarang Mayor Hevearita G. Rahayu and her husband Alwin Basri, at a trial at the Semarang Corruption Court, Wednesday, said the Rp1.75 billion was disbursed from the company's treasury after the work on the procurement of tables and elementary school seats with a value of around Rp17 billion was completed.

"It was removed from the office as a personal loan," said Rachmat, who attended the trial chaired by Chief Judge Gatot Sarwadi online, which was confiscated by Antara.

In December 2023, he said, Alwin asked that the meeting allegedly to submit the marketing fee be postponed because there was an investigation by the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK).

Rachmat admitted that he had known Alwin Basri for about 10 years as a friend.

He also admitted that he got a job at the Semarang City Education Office after meeting with Alwin Basri and submitting his company profile.

The meeting was followed up with a meeting with the Head of the Semarang City Education Office.

The defendant Rachmat did not know the stages until finally his company was able to get a job with the Rp20 billion budget ceiling.

Rachmat Djangkar admitted that he had never promised Alwin Basri some money for the work he got.

However, he stated that he was ready to help Alwin, who at that time ran for DPR RI members from the Pati, Rembang, and Blora Elections.

"Explicitly never promising, but in friendship. To buy banners, buy t-shirts," he added.

Previously, in the indictment of the public prosecutor, the defendant Rachmat Utama Djangkar was known to have given Rp1.75 billion to Alwin Basri and Hevearita G. Rahayu.

The money is referred to as a fee for the work on the procurement of tables and elementary schools in the Semarang City area in 2023 worth IDR 20 billion.
