NTB Prosecutor's Office Reveals Allegations Of GNE Business Corruption Has Not Risen Investigation

The West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) High Prosecutor's Office (Kejati) stated that the handling of cases of alleged corruption in a number of business activities of PT Gerbang NTB Emas (GNE) had not yet progressed to the investigation stage.

"Not yet (investigation), still LID (investigation)," said Acting Assistant for Special Crimes at the NTB Prosecutor's Office, Ely Rahmawati, in Mataram, NTB, Wednesday, May 21, as reported by Antara.

At this stage, Ely said that the collection of information and data related to the case was still ongoing and had not been completed.

He ensured that the handling of the alleged corruption case in the body of the Regional Company owned by the NTB Provincial Government was different from the active search on Thursday, May 8 at the PT GNE office and the NTB Secretariat's Economic Bureau Room.

The investigation into this case was previously conveyed by the Head of the NTB Prosecutor's Office, Enen Saribanon, in mid-December 2024.

"For the PT GNE case, still collecting data and information, handling is still being investigated," said Kajati NTB Enen Saribanon in Mataram, Thursday, December 19, 2024.

In a series of investigations, the prosecutor's office has asked for clarification from a number of related parties, including from PT GNE.

The alleged corruption in PT GNE's business activities is related to government capital loans from 2019 to 2024 worth IDR 27 billion.

The types of businesses suspected of having committed criminal acts of corruption are related to timber businesses, cooperation trading with BUMDes related to the procurement of basic materials, construction of residential areas in collaboration with companies in East Lombok, and meeting the needs in Mandalika for gravel and sickles, as well as agro corn business activities.
