Malaysia Masters 2025: Lanny/Fadia Secure Second Round Ticket

JAKARTA The women's doubles Lanny Tria Mayasari/Siti Fadia Silva Ramadhanti managed to secure a step into the second round of the Malaysia Masters 2025.

They got a second ticket for Indonesia thanks to a win over China Taipei's representative, Chen Su Yu/Yi En Hsieh, with a score of 21-14 and 21-11 on Tuesday, May 20, 2025, WIB night.

Lanny/Fadia actually started the start of the first game badly after the three points missed. However, they can score four points in a row when they are 4-6 to take the lead.

After leading in the 11-8 interval, Lanny/Fadia immediately added six points to stay away. This huge difference of points makes it increasingly difficult for opponents to put up a fight.

The two pairs then played a fierce match in the second game. However, after 8-8, Lanny/Fadia's pace was completely unstoppable.

In the second round, Lanny/Fadia will receive a tough test. The reason is, they will meet the second seed from Japan, Namibia Matsuyama/Chiharu Shida.

Before Lanny/Fadia, one ticket for Indonesia was first secured by women's doubles Apriyani Rahayu/Febi Setianingrum. The pair will then face Hsu Ya Ching/Sung Yu-Hsuan.

The women's doubles sector still has Febriana Dwi Puji Kusuma/Amallia Cahaya Pratiwi. This pair will only play on Wednesday, May 21, 2025.

Indonesia has sent a total of 11 representatives to Malaysia Masters 2025. Men's doubles is also the only sector that does not have representatives.
