Tax Revenue Is Being 'Strared', Prabowo Asks For Tax System Improvement, Calls Bimo Wijayanto

JAKARTA - President Prabowo Subianto summoned the Deputy Secretary for Economic Cooperation and Investment Coordination of the Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs, Bimo Wijayanto, to the Merdeka Palace, Jakarta, Tuesday, May 20.

The presence of Bimo received a briefing from President Prabowo Subianto regarding the improvement of the tax system.

Bimo Wijayanto is said to have been appointed as Director General of Taxes. As is known, tax revenues as of the end of March 2025 fell 18.10 percent, when compared to tax revenues in the same period in 2024. To reporters, Bimo explained regarding the directives given by President Prabowo Subianto.
