JAKARTA - Asha Assuncao, Ciccio Manassero, Fendy Chow, and Ismi Melinda are the main characters in WeTV's latest series, Swipe Right. This series is the latest collaboration between the streaming service and Scovi Films.

The Swipe Right series tells the story of a woman who works on a dating application, but she actually has difficulty finding a partner. One day, he was suddenly matched by his parents who got his rejection.

Asha Assuncao will play Manda, the main character who experiences upheaval because of his parents' matchmaking.

This manda's life is full of pressure. He is one of his family's close friends, having some trauma it's hard to find a mate to have a trust issue but he works at the dating apps," said Asha Assuncao on Tuesday, May 20 in Central Jakarta.

"Honestly, it's not the same as but for some trauma related but can still be caught in the incident but it's not 100% the same. The challenge is that the character is full of layers full of complex, life is simple but complicated on its own," he explained.

Fendy Chow plays Rangga, a new kid at the dating app office and becomes Manda's subordinate. He admits that all the characters in the Swipe Right series have their own problems.

Rangga is an intern at the swipe right application office. Amanda is my boss who is fierce but upset, so facing a boss who wants to be what is the interesting story of office life, love life, family life. The character has problems that are very related to our surroundings," said Fendy Chow.

Ciccio Manassero plays Rasyid who is matched with Manda, while Ismi Melinda plays Ocep.

"The character is the story of him coming from old money, I am a prospective diplomat who wants to be sent to the Indonesian Embassy in Lisbon, the only problem is that Rasyid was told to get married before going to work," said Ciccio Manassero.

In my opinion, Ocep is different from Manda. She is free, independent woman but she is ambitious. What I like the most is that women are not linear with regulations, but she chooses her own happiness. So women have the right to be happy," said Ismi Melinda.

Meanwhile, the Swipe Right series, directed by Angkasa Ramadhan, will start production this week and air on WeTV.
