Prabowo Will Witness, Agreement To Sell And Purchase Gas From Abadi Masela Field Is Signed Tomorrow

TANGERANG - The operator of Blok Masela Inpex Masela Ltd will conduct a head of agreement (HoA) for buying and selling natural gas from Blok Masela at The 49th IPA Convention and Exhibition at ICE BSD, tomorrow, Wednesday, May 21, and will be witnessed by the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Prabowo Subianto.

"Yes, HoA will sign tomorrow. The plan is (with President Prabowo)," said Head of the Special Task Force for Upstream Oil and Gas Business Activities (SKK Migas) Djoko Siswanto to the media crew when met at the IPA Convex event on the first day, Tuesday, May 20.

He explained that this gas sale and purchase agreement will be carried out with three companies, namely PT Pupuk Indonesia (Persero), PT PLN (Persero) and PT Perusahaan Gas Negara Tbk or PGN.

"There is Pupuk, then there is PLN, there is PGN, there is also a request for a committed cooperation with the buyers which is managed by now in Bontang," explained Djoko.

The finalization of HoA will be carried out tonight before being signed on the second day of the IPA Convex event.

"God willing, the finalists will be tonight," said Djoko.

Just so you know, this HoA is a follow-up to Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) or a memorandum of understanding between Inpex and Pupuk Indonesia in 2022 for the development of the blue ammonia and ammonia urea project.
