JAKARTA - Vice President (Vice President) Gibran Rakabuming stated that the Free Health Check Program (CKG) is very relevant for utilizing urban communities who tend to be vulnerable to various diseases.
This was conveyed by the Vice President when directly observing the implementation of the CKG Program at two health centers in Jakarta, namely the Kembangan District Health Center in West Jakarta and the Pesanggrahan District Health Center in South Jakarta, on Tuesday, May 20.
"The lifestyle style of urban people who tend to be vulnerable to non-communicable diseases, such as hypertension and diabetes, makes this free health check service more relevant for maximum use," said an excerpt from the Vice President's statement through the Vice Presidential Secretariat in Jakarta, which was confiscated by Antara.
In the statement, it was stated that the presence of the Vice President at the two puskesmas was a symbol of moral impetus, as well as a form of supervision so that CKG Program services run optimally.
This is in line with the commitment of President Prabowo Subianto's Government in overseeing the expansion of access to basic health services that are of high quality and equitable quality for the entire community.
Through this review, the Vice President emphasized the government's commitment to continue to maintain the sustainability of basic service programs, including health services, as part of investment in the development of healthy, productive, and resilient Indonesian human resources.
In line with the direction of the Vice President, the person in charge of Cluster 3 Adults and Elderly at the Pesanggrahan District Health Center, Edwinaditya Sekar Putri, said the public's enthusiasm for the CKG Program was very high.
Not only from the elderly, he said, the productive age community also uses it as part of routine health control.
"With the CKG, patients who previously had BPJS were never used, when he came, oh it turned out to be good, use BPJS, check, it turned out to be good," he said.

He emphasized the importance of building the spirit of the community not only for treatment when sick, but also for preventive and promotive efforts. According to him, puskesmas is basically not focused on curative services, but rather prioritizing promotive and preventive approaches.
Edwina also added that the initial examination through the CKG Program did not only stop at the laboratory stage, but could also continue to follow-up examinations and education about health, thereby increasing public awareness.
"For example, those who had come earlier, had no complaints. It turned out that my blood pressure was high, Doc. From there we usually educate, what kind of blood pressure management is, the method of nutrition, the way to eat, the diet that must be carried out, then routine control," he said.
