JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) searched the office of the Ministry of Manpower (Kemnaker) today. This forced effort is said to be related to the placement of foreign workers (TKA).
"It is true (there was a search at the Ministry of Manpower office, ed)," said Deputy Chairperson of the KPK Fitroh Rohcahyanto in a written statement, Tuesday, May 20.
This search was reportedly carried out in one of the rooms in the office. "(It has something to do with bribery and/or gratification related to foreign workers," said Fitroh.
Meanwhile, from the information gathered, this search was based on an investigation warrant (sprindik) which was just signed this week. There are already suspects who have been named.
Even so, the KPK has not detailed who the suspects are. The announcement will be made through a press conference.
