PAN Satire Oligarchy Ummat Party, Who Is Hurt?
JAKARTA - Politician of the National Mandate Party (PAN) Guspardi Gaus insinuated that the Ummat Party, which Amien Rais had just declared, was practicing oligarchy.
The reason is that Amien Rais is the chairman of the Syuro Council on the party's body bearing the golden star shield. Meanwhile, the general chairman was his own son-in-law, Ridho Rahmadi.
"The public will judge whether the practice of the oligarchy or the parties formed in the royal system has applied to the Ummat Party. Of course the people are smart, we invite the public to judge," said Guspardi, Friday, April 30.
Guspardi admitted that PAN did not feel competed with by the presence of the Ummat Party. According to him, every citizen has the right to establish a party.
"It remains just how to become a political organization capable of accommodating people's aspirations through elections," he said.
The member of Commission II of the DPR RI reminded that the requirements to become election participants were not easy. Apart from being legalized by the Ministry of Law and Human Rights, it must also be verified by the General Election Commission (KPU).
"This is part of the actualization rather than democracy. Just to be a participant in the election, of course, the requirements to become a political party participating in the election must also be met," said Guspardi.
As a new party, this member of the DPR RI Baleg is pessimistic that the Ummat Party can make its way to Senayan in the upcoming 2024 General Election. This is because there is a parliamentary vote threshold or Parliamentary Threshold.
"After that, there are other steps, to be in Senayan you must be able to meet the parliamentary threshold, and usually it is difficult and difficult for new parties to achieve this," he concluded.
Responding to that, the Deputy Chairman of the General Ummat Party, Mozin, asked Guspardi Gaus to focus on his own party. "My comment is only one, just focus on his own party. Then just focus on the National Mandate Party, whose survey results are now decreasing," said Agung, Friday , April 30. According to Agung, PAN is a part of the past that does not need to be considered in the present. "So just focus on that, don't have to think about the Ummat Party. We never think about PAN anymore, PAN, the past parties, which we no longer need to think about," he said.
Meanwhile, political observer from Al Azhar University Indonesia Andriadi Achmad assessed that dynastic or oligarchic parties will not occur in the Ummat Party. This is because, although the chairman of the Syuro Council is Amien Rais, the general chairman of the Ummat Party, Ridho Rahmadi, is only a son-in-law, not a biological son.
"Ridho Rahmadi is the son-in-law of Amien Rais, chairman of the Shuro council. Actually there is confusion but it is not too prominent. Because Ridho Rahmadi is not a real child," Andriadi told VOI, Friday, April 30.
It is different if Ridho is a biological child, said Andriadi, it can be called dynastic politics because it is controlled by one family. If so, then the party's journey may not be smooth.
"If Hanafi Rais becomes ketum maybe a little rubbed, it means 'dynastic party too'. But this is a son-in-law even though there is a relationship but not a biological child," he explained. Andriadi actually assessed that Ridho's appointment as chairman was only an administrative formality to register the party with the Ministry of Law and Human Rights. Like the Nasdem Party when it was first established.
"I think like this, it's the same as Nasdem. Patrice Rio Capella used to be, but after a year later he was returned to Surya Paloh. This means that now it can be filled with administration first and then a year and two years. Anyway, first pass the administration, yes it could be," said Andriadi. .
It is known, from the information conveyed by the deputy chairman of the General Ummat Mozin Party, the Syuro Council can at any time replace the general chairman of the DPP. This is because the highest authority rests with the assembly.
Nevertheless, Andriadi suspected that a strong national figure would be a surprise in the Ummat Party. Later, it was the naughty figure who was asked to become the leader of the political party and even the presidential candidate from the party bearing the shield and gold star.
"The possibility could be a figure who became, Gatot Nurmantyo, Din Syamsudin or Anies Baswedan. But in the meantime to smooth the administration, it could be (Ridho Rahmadi, ed)," he said.
The Ummah Party and the 'Sage Barisan'
Deputy Chairman of the Ummat Party, Agung Mozin, denied that his political party was linked to the party's perception of 'Barisan Sakit Hati'. On the other hand, he said, those who said that were actually hurt by the people who were in the line of the Ummat Party.
"Not really, that's the stigma built by those we left behind," said Agung to VOI, Friday, April 30.
According to him, those who said this did not accept the significant development of the Ummah Party. Moreover, the Ummah Party survey continues to show a positive direction.
"Those who we left are disturbed, especially seeing the survey results that continue to rise from 0.3 percent, up 0.9 percent, up 1.1 percent, up to 1.3 percent and then up again by 1 percent. And yesterday in DKI , the results of our survey were 2.1 percent, wow that's really something new for a party, "said Agung.
"So if someone says that (the ranks of sick days, red) it is the statement of people who are panicked about the growth of the Ummah Party," he continued.
PAN Disappeared, Ummat Party Arises
It is predicted that the Ummat Party will gain the same success when the father of reform led the National Mandate Party (PAN) to the 2004 elections.
Political observer from Al Azhar University Indonesia Andriadi Achmad assessed that Amien Rais' figure is still a magnet for the Ummah Party. In fact, it is estimated that the PAN vote niche will shift to the party which is now chaired by Ridho Rahmadi.
"PAN, which today lost its reputation because Amien Rais left, only relies on Zulkifli Hasan, I don't think it is too convincing," said Andriadi to VOI, Friday, April 30. According to Andriadi, some of the PAN votes, especially from Muhammadiyah circles, will definitely follow Amien Rais. This is because the figure of the former chairman of the MPR is synonymous with these Islamic organizations.
"My prediction is (to move to the Ummat Party. Ed). Because neither PAN Muhammdiyah, the figures have been divided. If Amien Rais is already synonymous with Muhammadiyah, he will definitely run to the Ummmat Party," he explained.
Not to mention, he continued, there are other figures who are close to the Ummat Party and have a support base. For example, former Head of PP Muhamadiyah Din Syamsudin, former TNI Commander Gatot Nurmantyo, and DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan who carried the ballot carriage.
"It could also be a niche for Ummat Party voters, bigger than PAN. Because he (the Ummat Party, ed) is diverse. Alumni 212, Muhammadiyah, continue to reincarnate Masyumi. So the market niche is 212 alumni and PAN masses. I predict that the Ummah Party will have a place. in 2024. Not to mention that later there will be figures like Gatot Anies or Din Syamsudin. Ah that's exciting, "said the Executive Director of the Nusantara Institute PolCom SRC.
"What is concerning is PAN, I am afraid that PAN will disappear, the Ummat Party will emerge," Andriadi added.
