Finally, The State Budget Returns To A Surplus Of IDR 4.3 Trillion In April 2025
Minister of Finance Sri Mulyani Indrawati revealed that the realization of the State Revenue and Expenditure Budget (APBN) until April 2026 scored a surplus of IDR 4.3 trillion or equivalent to 0.02 percent of gross domestic product (GDP).
Sri Mulyani said that in the midst of a very challenging global economic turmoil, the 2025 State Budget was maintained responsive and effective to stabilize the economy while protecting the business world and people's purchasing power.
"The realization of the State Budget until April 2025 shows a positive performance, with a budget surplus of IDR 4.3 trillion or 0.02 percent of GDP," he said at a plenary meeting of the DPR at the Parliament Complex, Tuesday, May 20.
Sri Mulyani explained that the APBN surplus at the end of April 2025 came from state revenues of IDR 810.5 trillion or 27 percent of the APBN target.
According to him, the realization of revenue continues to show a strengthening trend, indicating that economic activity is maintained amidst global turmoil.
On the other hand, the realization of state spending until the end of April 2025 reached Rp806.2 trillion or reached 22.3 percent of the APBN target.
According to him, this shows that in the midst of the transition period, the 2025 State Budget will continue to function optimally in the implementation of priority programs that are felt by our people.

Sri Mulyani conveyed that with the performance of the APBN which experienced a surplus, the primary balance at the end of April 2025 was also positive at IDR 173.9 trillion, and the cash position was in a surplus of IDR 283.6 trillion (SILPA).
Previously, the Ministry of Finance (Kemenkeu) noted that the State Revenue and Expenditure Budget (APBN) experienced a deficit of IDR 104.2 trillion in March 2025.
