Sales Of Hybrid Cars From Suzuki Reach 51 Percent In April 2025
JAKARTA - PT Suzuki Indomobil Sales (SIS) recorded positive sales throughout April 2025, even passenger cars filling the hybrid segment contributed up to 51 percent, showing that environmentally friendly cars are no longer just alternatives.
From the data received, this trend (sales of the hybrid segment) was built since the beginning of the year. Where in early January the hybrid sales model contributed 46 percent, and grew in February to 47 percent. Then, in March it touched 52 percent.
Customer confidence cannot be separated from the origin of reliable and tested brands such as Suzuki. More convincingly, 83 percent of the total hybrid models sold over the past 4 months were produced by Indonesia, precisely from the Suzuki Cikarang factory, West Java.
Randy R. Murdoko Dept Head of 4W Sales PT SIS, said it would be better if the sales of the hybrid model were obtained. Although last month Suzuki recorded a small correction to the retail sales figure in April 2025.
"However, if you look at the data from a broad perspective, the decline is still acceptable in the context of larger market fluctuations. In percentage terms, the contribution of the hybrid model still shows positive performance and must continue to be managed properly," he said, through an official statement, Tuesday, May 20.

As is known, Suzuki produces hybrid models in Indonesia such as New XL7 Hybrid and All New Ertiga Hybrid. This step is not only taken to meet demand from domestic consumers. This is because the car is also exported to various countries, including South America, Oceania, and various countries in Southeast Asia.
"Building trust in hybrid technology does have its own challenges. However, with our consistency and sincerity in serving customers, slowly the benefits have been seen and can be felt together. The popularity of our hybrid model is not only about sales, but also a form of Suzuki's real contribution to Indonesia," concluded Randy.
