Barcelona Holds Music Concert Trials Without A Distance, The Results Are Enjoyable

JAKARTA - A trial concert was held in Barcelona. The concert was held to find out how safe the concert was. The results are encouraging.

Referring to the results of the experiment, the organizers stated that the medium-scale concert seemed safe to be held despite the pandemic. Medical experts monitoring the concert said four out of six cases arose from the concert.

Five thousand people attended the concert. The concert without any distancing rules reportedly did not trigger the large-scale spread of the corona virus.

The organizers expressed hope that such a medium scale cultural event could be held again soon. This is good news for many parties.

Crowd cancellation

Previously, many music concerts, exhibitions and sporting events were canceled. In soccer and several sports, matches are still held even without spectators.

The concert in Barcelona has become an important world concern. Held in the capital city of Catalunya, the organizer implemented a screening process and first tested the corona virus antigen.

The audience was asked to wear FFP2 masks. Meanwhile, the event committee limits the capacity to use the toilet.

Afterward, medics collected antigen swab samples from five thousand concertgoers. Only six people reported testing positive for COVID-19.

Medics reported 15 days later that he believed "in four of these six cases, the transmission was not from a concert."

"There are no signs indicating transmission occurred during the concert," said Josep Maria Llibre, an infectious disease specialist at the Trias i Pujol Germans Hospital in Barcelona, quoted by DW, Saturday, May 1.

"There is hope," added Jordi Herreruela.

Deputy Mayor of Barcelona Jaume Collboni said the study results will encourage many important policies. Barcelona is likely to "restart cultural activity."
