Hummer EV 2026 Is Getting Fierce. Carbon Fiber Edition Reaches 0-100 Km/hour Below 3 Seconds
JAKARTA The GMC again made a breakthrough by announcing a significant update for the Hummer EV pickup and as well as the 2026 model SUV.
What caught the most attention was the presence of a limited edition of "Carbon Fibre Edition" (CFE) for a pickup version that was able to record acceleration of 0-60 mph (0-96 km/h) in just 2.8 seconds! Imagine, this 4.1 ton bongsor truck could be that fast.
Previously, launching Top Gear, Monday, May 19, Hummer EV standard pickup is known to be "fast" with a record time of 3 seconds for the same sprint. However, GMC apparently feels that it is not enough. The optimization of software in the powertrain of three motorcycles is now capable of generating 1,144 hp of power, a significant jump from 1,000 cellphones.
In addition to increasingly wild performance, the CFE edition also gets a touch of cosmetics according to its name. A fiber carbon cylinder is present on the mirror cover and an input skid plate. The look is even more dashing with a 22-inch black rim wrapped in a new all-terrain tire, as well as a dark touch in several exterior parts.

Interestingly, not only about speed, but GMC also introduced a revolutionary feature called the "King Crab" mode for the entire Hummer EV lineup. This feature is software that allows rear wheel steering (rear-wheel steering) in a more sophisticated way. The rear wheel will rotate faster than the front wheel, resulting in much better agility when maneuvering in a narrow space, crossing rocks, crossing waterflows, even at parking! The good news is that the King Crab feature will be available as over-the-air updates for all units of Hummer EVs already produced.
Other small updates include two-way charging features (bidirectional charging), which allow Hummer EV to power home when power goes out, or even charge other battery-depleted electric cars. In addition, Hummer EV will also get the latest generation of Super Cruise semi-autonomous driver assistance systems from GMC, as well as enhanced shock damping for better driving convenience.
The official price for the 2026 Hummer EV model is expected to be announced in the coming weeks, before production begins this summer and goes on sale next summer.
