31 Roads Including Toll Roads Closed During Malaysia's 46th ASEAN Summit, Car Parking Carelessly Actioned!

JAKARTA - Director of the Department of Investigation and Law Enforcement of Bukit Aman Traffic Law (JSPT) Mohd Yusri Hassan Basri said the determination of traffic engineering in the form of a system to open lane closures to 31 roads when the 46th Kuala Lumpur Summit will be carried out in stages.

Quoting Bernama, Monday, May 19, Yusri said, each closure lasted for 30 minutes so that convoys or convoys of participants from the summit and guests from each country could achieve their goal on time.

Yusri appealed to the public not to park their vehicles carelessly along closed roads to maintain the smooth flow of traffic.

He emphasized that action would be taken against vehicles parked on closed roads, including by towing the vehicle.

Furthermore, Yusri added, this traffic engineering also binds official cars and heavy vehicles that are not allowed to enter the city center starting at 06.30-07.30 and starting at 04.30 from today until May 28.

As many as 31 roads in Kuala Lumpur are gradually closed from 23-28 May 2025.

The closure is in order to ensure smooth traffic flow following Malaysia, which hosts the 46th ASEAN Summit on May 26-27 at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Center (KLC).

Along with the 46th ASEAN Summit, Malaysia will host the 2nd ASEAN-GCC (Cold Cooperation Board) Summit and the first ASEAN-GCC-China Economic Summit.
