MKD Holds Ethical Meeting To Discuss Azis Syamsuddin's Report, Ensure No Intervention By The Corruption Eradication Commission
JAKARTA - Deputy Chairman of the Honorary Council of the Council (MKD), Habiburokhman, confirmed that the MKD will hold an internal meeting to discuss public reports regarding alleged ethical violations committed by Deputy Chairman of the DPR RI, Azis Syamsuddin.
The plan is for the MKD ethics meeting to be held on Thursday, May 6 next week. "The report related to Pak Azis Syamsuddin has indeed been submitted, on 6 (May) the MKD will hold a meeting. We are currently examining the formal requirements file," said Habiburokhman, at the Parliament Complex, Friday, April 30.
He said that the DPR RI is currently undergoing a recess period until May 5 and only on Thursday, May 6 will the trial period begin. So that MKD just held a meeting on that date.
According to him, all decisions in the MKD were decided collectively collegially.
"We will not intervene in the work of the KPK and will not precede the work of the KPK. The point is that MKD works to uphold the dignity and honor of the DPR, so that every report that comes in, we make sure it is processed according to the provisions of the applicable laws," he said.
The Gerindra Party politician ensures that all reports submitted to the MKD will be followed up without exception and the process will be neutral.
According to him, MKD as the enforcer of the honor, nobility and dignity of the DPR, it is impossible to carry out tasks outside these corridors.
