Former Chairperson Of The Surabaya District Court Will Undergo First Trial Of The Bribery-Gratification Case Of Ronald Tannur's Free Verdict

JAKARTA - The former chairman of the Surabaya District Court, Rudi Suparmono, will undergo his first trial in the alleged bribery and gratification case related to Gregorius Ronald Tannur's acquittal, today. The agenda is that the Public Prosecutor (JPU) will read out the indictment.

"It is true, based on the letter of stipulation, the panel of judges has determined a trial for the defendant Rudi Suparmono (implemented) today," said Head of the AGO, Harli Siregar to reporters, Monday, May 19.

The plan is that Rudi Suparmono's inaugural trial, which will be held at the Corruption Court in Central Jakarta, will begin at 10.00 WIB.

The panel of judges who will try the case are judge Iwan Irawan as chairman with member judges Sri Hartati and judge Andi Saputra.

Rudi Suparmono is one of several suspects in the alleged bribery case related to Gregorius Ronald Tannur's acquittal. The former chairman of the Surabaya District Court also splashed money in case management.

In the process of determining the suspect, the AGO confiscated several pieces of evidence, one of which was money worth Rp. 21,141,956,000 or Rp. 21.1 billion.

The confiscated money is certainly not all rupiah denominations. However, there are also US dollars or USD worth 388,600 and Singapore dollars or SDG as much as 1,099,626.

The money was found in a Fortuner car parked in a house owned by Rudi Suparmono.
