Bogor Premanism Task Force Combs Red Light And Angkot, 56 People Netted
BOGOR The Bogor City Premanism Eradication Task Force (Satgas) held a joint operation targeting buskers,LERs, and silver people who were active on public transportation, traffic lights, and a number of main roads. Dozens of people were caught in the operation which was held this weekend.
A number of buskers tried to trick the officers in various ways, such as pretending to be passengers in public transportation, shopping at stalls, and admitting that they were resting on their way home. However, the officers managed to secure 56 people.
Head of the Bogor City Civil Service Police Unit (Kasat Pol PP), Agustian Syah, who directly led the operation, said that this activity was part of the Task Force's routine program to curb illegal activities in public spaces.
"We have arrested 56 people in Bogor City. Several buskers are indicated to be drunk. For further treatment, we will coordinate with the Bogor City Police," said Agustian, Monday, May 19.
Those caught in the raid were taken to Bogor City Hall to be given guidance and understanding. During the examination, officers found three people carrying circumstellar powder and claimed to have consumed it.
For the record, excessive use of krotoms can cause neurological disorders, hallucinations, pain, insomnia, and endanger the lives of its users.
Agustian emphasized that the Bogor City Government strictly prohibits busking activities in public transportation and at road intersections.
"There should be no busking activities in public transportation, red lights. Don't continue to force yourself to the streets because we will continue to take action," he said.
From City Hall, buskers were then taken to the Population and Civil Registration Office for biometric data collection and recording. This was done because most of them did not bring ID cards, some even gave false information about their identities.

Agustian explained that this control was not solely to take action, but also part of coaching efforts. The Bogor City Government has previously provided space for buskers who have the ability to play music to appear as artists in city parks, cafes, and various official events.
"Well, the buskers caught are residues who do not yet have adequate skills. Later we will coordinate with the Social Service and the Manpower Service to include them in labor-intensive programs," he said.
