Motor Dirantai, Asks For A Ransom Of IDR 2 Million: The Behavior Of The Korean Tenant Boss In Bekasi Makes His Head Geleng
JAKARTA - The Sub-Directorate of Car Investigation (Resmob) of the Metro Jaya Police arrested a Korean food tenant in the square area in front of the Bekasi City Hospital with the initials HDW (51). He is suspected of committing violence, extortion, and theft of motorcycles belonging to his own employee, Muhamad Alvien.
The arrests were made on Monday, May 12 at the house of the perpetrator located on Jalan Pahlawan, Gang Sahabat, East Bekasi, Bekasi City.
"The team managed to secure HDW along with evidence in the form of a Honda Vario motorcycle, a knife, a lock chain, and an airsoft gun," said Head of Sub-Directorate for Resmob Polda Metro Jaya, AKBP Resa Fiardi Marasabessy in his statement, Sunday, May 18.
The incident began when the victim, Muhamad Alvien, came late for an hour at a Korean food tenant where he worked, Saturday, May 4. Due to the delay, colleagues advised Alvien to go home.
After leaving the work location, Alvien sent a message to the perpetrator's wife to ask about the remaining unpaid salary of Rp. 500 thousand. He was then asked to come to HDW's house.
In the evening at around 22.00 WIB, Alvien came to the perpetrator's house to collect the remaining salary. However, he was actually treated harshly.
The perpetrator uttered harsh words while threatening the victim with a knife. He even stabbed a knife into the front of the victim's motorbike, "explained Resa.
The perpetrator also reportedly pushed the victim's body until it fell along with his motorbike. Feeling threatened, the victim chose to run away without carrying his motorbike.
The next day, the victim came back to the perpetrator's house with his mother to collect his salary and take his motorbike. However, the motorbike had been chains and locked by the perpetrator.
When asked to release the chain, the perpetrator refused. Instead, he asked the victim to pay Rp. 2 million in compensation for the loss of his Korean food business.
"The perpetrator did not return the victim's motorbike if the victim did not pay Rp. 2 million," said Resa.
The victim then reported the incident to the police. Polda Metro Jaya conducted an investigation by examining witnesses and CCTV footage at the scene. After sufficient evidence, the police arrested HDW at his residence.
Head of Resmob IV Polda Metro Jaya, AKP Charles RV Sebarasar added that his party confiscated a number of important pieces of evidence, including motorbikes belonging to the victim, knives, iron chains, and an airsoft gun.
