Acting Disparekraf Police Checked About Quarantine Mafia, Asked About PAS Card
JAKARTA - Acting Head of the DKI Jakarta Tourism and Creative Economy (Disparekraf), Gumilar Ekalaya, is being investigated regarding the case of the quarantine mafia. Gumilar was examined as a witness.
"It's true, the Acting Kadis is present to be examined," said Head of Public Relations of the Jakarta Police, Kombes Yusri Yunus, to reporters, Friday, April 30.
The examination of Gumilar, continued Yusri, was in the aftermath of the involvement of a retired Disparekraf with the initials S who had been named the suspect. Apart from that, investigators also investigated the findings of the suspect's access card or PAS.
"It was examined in connection with the issuance of an airport pass," said Yusri.
However, Yusri has not clearly explained the results of the investigations that have taken place since this afternoon.
This case began when Air Asia's charter flight QZ 988 from Chenai, India arrived at Soekarno Hatta Airport on April 21.
There are 132 passengers on the plane. However, after being tracked, it turned out that there were several passengers who did not follow the quarantine process. They were made suspects.
To date, the police have secured 11 people in the quarantine mafia series. Seven of them are Indian citizens with the initials SR, CM, KM, PN, SD, MS, and SR.
While the rest are Indonesian citizens. They have the initials ZR, S, M, and R who have been named as suspects.
In this case, the suspects were charged with Article 93 in conjunction with Article 9 paragraph 1 of Law No. 6 of 2018 concerning Quarantine and or Article 14 Paragraph 1 of Law No. 4 of 1984 on Contagious Disease Outbreaks The threat of a sentence of one year in prison.
