Rubber Factory Burns Until Explosions Occur, Fire And Ambulance Teams Deployed

A big fire broke out at the PT Teluk Luas rubber factory in the Tanjung Saba Pitameh Nan XX area, Padang City, on Sunday afternoon, May 18. The Padang City Damkar Team, West Sumatra was deployed to extinguish the fire at the scene.

A fire broke out at around 13.00 WIB in an industrial area, which is also close to residential areas. There were several explosions from inside the burning factory.

Citing ANTARA, several ambulances have also been alerted at the location of the fire. It is not yet known how many victims were affected by the fire.

Thick black smoke soared high in the industrial area. Meanwhile, residents also grouped up near and on the road to the scene.

In addition, a number of police and TNI personnel were also present at the location to help with road access for the fire fighting fleet.

Until this news was revealed at 13.45 WIB, the fire was still happening and extinguishing efforts were ongoing.
