Cassie Ventura's Husband Gives Full Support When Wife Witness In Diddy's Trial

JAKARTA Alex Fine, the husband of singer Cassie Ventura, expressed unshakable support for his wife who was giving important testimony at the trial of Sean "Diddy" Combs on suspicion of a sex trafficking case.

The statement of support was delivered through Cassie's lawyer, Doug Wignor, after Cassie's fourth day testified in a federal court in New York.

In a written statement quoted from Billboard and reported by ANTARA, Sunday, May 18, Fine expressed her deep pride and love for her wife.

"I feel great pride and deep love for Cass," Fine wrote. I also feel anger because he has to sit in front of someone who tries to destroy him. However, his passion and smile are never broken.

Fine denied the narrative that referred to himself as Cassie's savior of years of alleged sexual harassment in a relationship with Diddy. He asserted that it was Cassie herself who managed to free herself from the situation.

"I didn't save Cassie. That statement actually demeaned the extraordinary struggle she had gone through. Cassie was the one who saved herself," he said.

Fine also said that her role was only to love Cassie, as she was loved. Now, according to her, their lives focus on love, laughter, and family.

He added that they would not provide further statements and ask for privacy because their families were looking forward to the birth of their third child.

Meanwhile, Cassie through her lawyer referred to the week of her testimony in court as a challenging period. He hopes his testimony can give strength to survivors of sexual violence to rise and speak up.

Cassie and Diddy are known to have been in a relationship since 2007 and separated in 2018. Cassie later married Alex Fine in 2019.

Cassie's testimony is in the main spotlight in Diddy's trial, which is scheduled to continue on Monday, May 19. If found guilty on all charges, Diddy could face life imprisonment.

During the trial, the judges had shown a reaction to the footage which was said to be vulgar. Judge Arun Subramanian decided to seal the material from the public in order to protect the victims from potential further trauma.

Diddy himself faces five charges, including sex trafficking, and has pleaded not guilty and denies all charges.
