OJK Gaet Bhabinkamtibmas Bali For Early Detection Of Financial Crimes
JAKARTA - The Bali Province Financial Services Authority (OJK) cooperates with the Bhayangkara for the Community Security and Order Development (Bhabinkamtibmas) of the Bali Police to increase early detection of the mode of crime in the financial sector in rural areas.
"We hope that Bhabinkamtibmas will also become a financial education agent because it is at the forefront of public security," said Bali Province OJK Head Kristrianti Puji Rahayu quoting Antara.
The regulator of financial services institutions in the socialization conveyed the principles of protecting consumers in the financial services sector and the community.
This principle includes adequate education, openness and transparency of product information and or financial services, asset protection, privacy, and consumer data.
Then enforcement of compliance and introducing complaint mechanisms through the Portal Application for Consumer Protection (APPK) and handling complaints and disputes in the financial services sector.
Puji hopes that the results of the socialization can be followed up through positive actions and can be disseminated to the public, so that people feel protected in using products and/or services in the financial services sector.
Meanwhile, the Director of Special Criminal Investigation (Dirreskrimsus) of the Bali Police Commissioner Teguh Widodo in the socialization explained that the role of the National Police and related institutions in dealing with crimes in the financial sector is not only limited to law enforcement.
He further revealed that the crime management of the financial sector also includes education, prevention, strengthening cooperation, and increasing technological capabilities and human resources.

"Collaboration across institutions is very important to build a financial system that is safe and reliable for the community," he said.
He hopes that in the future a safe and reliable financial ecosystem will be formed, people will be financially literate and alert to the risk of financial crime, and continue to increase synergies between institutions to eradicate financial crime.
The police are one of the members of the Illegal Financial Activity Eradication Task Force (Satgas Pasti).
The Task Force must have stopped illegal entities from 2017 to April 2025 as many as 12,721 entities with illegal investment losses reaching Rp142.13 trillion.
