Apple Presents Text And Object Equipment On Mac

JAKARTA Apple added a new accessibility feature for visually impaired people or people with visual impairments. Not for the iPad or iPhone, this feature is designed for Macs.

This new feature is a tool to enlarge text or reading. In fact, this feature has only been extended to Mac because Apple has launched its features on iPhone and iPad since 2016.

With this accessibility feature, users can not only read text that looks small, but can also enlarge the appearance or detect objects that look small. This ability works on various objects around the user.

"This year, the Executive is on Mac to make it easier for users with visual impairments to access the world around them," Apple said in its official broadcast, quoted on Saturday, May 17.

Unlike the capabilities present on the iPad or iPhone, the expander on the Mac needs to use a camera connected from a second device such as an iPhone or an internal camera. Users only need to get closer to the camera to see the upgrade working.

"(users) can enlarge the surrounding environment, such as screens or whiteboards. The expander works with a Continuity Camera on the iPhone as well as a connected USB camera, and supports document reading using a Table View," Apple explained.

To make it easier for users, users can adjust the appearance of the Larger feature. They can change the brightness level, change the contrast, change the color filter, or even choose other perspectives so that text and images can be clearer.

"The display can also be captured, grouped, and stored for use later. The enlargement for Mac is integrated with the Accessibility Reader, one of the new accessibility features, which turns text from the physical world into an easy-to-read format," Apple said.
