Mahfud Reminds Regional Heads From PDIP Not To Be Tempted By Corruption

Mahfud MD reminded regional heads to be careful and not tempted so that they are trapped in corrupt practices.

He said the corruption trap must be discussed so that regional heads are not exposed to cases. Mahfud also said several examples of how regional heads were affected by legal cases.

"Completeing the APBD and programs with the DPRD in a collusive manner so that many regional heads and DPRDs go to prison in congregation. It could also be with the practice of doing mark-ups or mark-downs to get kick-backs," Mahfud said while providing briefing to regional heads or deputy heads with PDIP cadre status at the Party School, South Jakarta, Saturday, May 17, reported by ANTARA.

"Be careful. These are the cases I'm talking about. So don't get caught up in corruption," he continued.

Mahfud asked regional heads and deputy regional heads to always be careful. Because corruption has expired 18 years. Retired, they are still being pursued.

"So don't be tempted. If when he was in office he did good and according to the party ideology, he would retire handsomely and sleep in peace," said Mahfud.

Mahfud said it is undeniable that corruption is currently rampant. The indicator is the corruption perception index which has fallen tremendously. The pattern of corruption is decentralized both vertically and horizontally.

Apart from grayy, said Mahfud, corruption is also caused by a political recruitment system that is difficult to control corruption. The government system and political recruitment that applies encourage corrupt people so that good people become corrupt. Not to mention that because the electoral system is open and liberal, it must be paid dearly.
