Nearly 100 Terrorist Suspects Arrested In Connection With The Suicide Bombing At The Makassar Cathedral

JAKARTA - Densus 88 Anti-terror Police has again arrested 11 suspected terrorists from the Villa Mutiara group, Biringkanaya, Makassar, South Sulawesi. The total number of suspected terrorists arrested in all areas after the suicide bombing at the Cathedral Church, Makassar, totaled 99 people.

"The total number of people who have been secured after the cathedral church in Makassar is currently 99 people," said Head of Public Relations Division of the National Police, Kombes Ahmad Ramadhan, to reporters, Friday, April 30.

Ramadan details the number of suspected terrorists arrested in the Makassar area as many as 55 people. The majority of them were male.

They are related to the suicide bombing that occurred on 28 March.

"Dennsus 88 Anti-terror Polri has detained 55 terrorists in Makassar, consisting of 48 men and 7 women or women," he said.

Meanwhile, for other areas as many as 44 terrorist suspects were arrested. Most of the arrests of suspected terrorists were in Jakarta.

"There are 5 terrorists in NTB, Jakarta 12 terrorists, Makassar area with 55 terrorists, East Java 5 terrorists, West Java 6 terrorists, Central Java 6 terrorists, Bekasi 1 terrorist, Yogyakarta 9 terrorists," said Ramadhan.
