Trump Tuding China Bujuk Middle East In Order To Secure Energy Supply
JAKARTA - US President Donald Trump said the Middle East region is no longer sided with China.
"The area is important, but has never been treated properly," Trump told Fox News.
He accused China of aggressively persuading the Middle East in order to secure energy supplies in the long term.
Trump explained that he came to the region to attract investment in the US.
"I always think that the area is very important," he said.na
According to Trump, countries in the Middle East were actually "not really wanting" to get closer to China, but their relationship is getting stronger and China is "will be their parent".
"But now, the situation is no longer like that," he said.
After visiting Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Trump ended his trip in the region on Friday.
On Tuesday and Wednesday, Trump made an investment of US$600 billion from Saudi Arabia and US$1.2 trillion from Qatar, totaling more than Rp29,680 trillion.
