The KPK Is Still Focusing On Proven Hasto's Actions After Investigators Admit That They Know Harun Masiku's Position In Court
The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) said it was still focused on proving the actions of PDIP Secretary General Hasto Kristiyanto who was charged with interim investigations into the Harun Masiku case and bribery for interim replacement (PAW) members of the DPR for the 2019-2024 period.
This was conveyed by the KPK spokesman Budi Prasetyo when asked about the testimony of his investigator, Arif Budi Raharjo, who said that Harun Masiku's whereabouts had actually been detected when he was a witness at the trial.
"Of course, at this time the KPK is still focused on the process of proving the case with the defendant HK," Budi told reporters at the KPK's Merah Putih building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta, Friday, May 16.
Even so, Budi said, his investigator's statement remained the focus. Moreover, Arif was presented as a fact witness to strengthen the obstruction indictment of Hasto's investigation.
"Every information or information submitted by the witnesses who are present at the trial will then be analyzed and reviewed by the KPK," he said.
In a trial held at the Jakarta Corruption Court, Arif Budi Raharjo said that Harun Masiku's whereabouts, who is a fugitive, were already known.
Meanwhile, Harun became a fugitive after escaping a hand arrest operation (OTT) carried out by the KPK in 2020. He should have been a suspect along with several other people, including former General Election Commission (KPU) Commissioner Wahyu Setiawan.
"We know (the point of Harun's whereabouts, ed). However, we cannot convey it here," said Arif, who was presented as a witness by the prosecutor.
Arif said he was one of Harun Masiku's search teams. "We are still trying (search) through several parties," he said.
