Student Brawls In Kendari, Police Investigate The Cause

The police are investigating a student brawl in the former MTQ Kendari area, Mandonga District, Kendari City, Southeast Sulawesi Province (Sultra).

Head of the Operations Section (Kabag Ops) of the Kendari Police, AKP Picha Armedi, said that currently the Kendari Police are still investigating the causes and who are the perpetrators involved in the brawl between students.

"We are still receiving the report, then the cause is still being investigated, who attacked this is still in the process of being investigated," said Picha Armedi when met in Kendari, Friday, May 16, which was confiscated by Antara.

He said, based on the information received, the students were involved in a brawl while carrying out cleaning activities in the former MTQ Kendari area. However, the Kendari Police Criminal Investigation Unit (Sat Reskrim) is still investigating the cause of the brawl.

"It doesn't know yet (which students are), we are still investigating it first, because this is the information that they are still doing cleaning activities this morning, only who the attackers are, we don't know yet, we are still seeing the investigation," he said.

Until now, the Kendari Police do not know the number of victims of the brawl between students. However, this action has been conveyed by one teacher to the police for follow-up.

"The only report from the teacher was related to the brawl, but the official report hasn't yet. We're still in it first, I'll try to check the report first, because I'm not the one receiving the report, at the Criminal Investigation Department," said Picha Armedi.

Based on the video received, it was seen that hundreds of students were involved in a brawl throwing each other until a chase occurred in the former MTQ Kendari area.

In fact, not a few in the video can be heard screaming hysterically from students who are afraid of the brawl.
